Art is great, frame good quality. Unfortunately it was ordered with a black frame and I received white. It was easier to paint than go through the hassle of exchanging. I have no indication that they would not have exchanged if I wanted to go that route. I would buy again.

This painting is phenomenal! It immortalizes a photograph I took while deployed at the U.S. Antarctic Program's McMurdo Station in 2015-16; An Adelie penguin seemingly stands at attention toward Vince's Cross, a memorial erected in March 1902 to commemorate George Vince, a crewman who lost his life on the British Discovery Expedition. The USCGC Polar Star, the Coast Guard's only Antarctic-capable icebreaking vessel, is visible in the background, as is the Royal Society Range, the string of mountains which lay across the McMurdo Sound. I'd intended to get this photograph enlarged, but since it was taken on an old iPhone that wouldn't have come out great-- having it made into a painting is so much more unique. Thank you for using your talent to help commemorate one of the most remarkable days of my life!
